HappY ChinesE NeW YeaR! CHinese New Year COncert was A blast for the Band... Somehow we are the most enjoyable performance in the show other then the Changkat Primary Wushu Group... We PLayed our all time favourite, 'Chinese New Year Story', composed by our very own conductor, Mr Richard Png and conducted by our Asst Conductor, Mr Pisit. We spark off with the percussion festive drums ensemble solo, by Desiree, Taufiq, Taqyy and Abram... Then to our woodwind soloist, Min Er, on clarinet, Xiang Ting, on Flute and Renny, on Saxophone.
Nearing the End, Ashikin, our Band Commandant, gave the audiences a surprise by distributingthrowing sweets to them. And, as per usual, we ended up with Crackers and Poppers, which symbolised a weapon, to scare away monsters, according to the chinese tradition.
And we end the day with briefings.

about CCA orientation, well it was a blast... played many catchy and fun songs like That Thing You Do, Lady Marmalade, Shrek Dance Party and many more... We also didn't want to lose an opportunity to expose ourselves to play our SYF 2009 set piece Overture 1 to audiences for the first time... and the results of Sec 1s opted for band and joining us is so overwhelming... A job well done to the Band members for their join effort... To the teachers ALSO of course!!Our Banner
